We are deal hunters. Spend less, travel more … right?!Why Is Bookvip So Cheap… If you like to make your trip travel dollar stretch, then like us, you may find yourself considering a holiday package advertising deal. But you need to be prepared. Know that these marketing trip bundle business are not equivalent.
After the let down of our recent stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I just left the phone from trying to book the rest of our vacation plan with them (some time in Florida). Let’s just say that will not be taking place. We are just going to forget and consume the expense about it.
From here on out, we will be scheduling holiday packages through BookVIP. If you click over to their site, you will see that it is full of the most affordable trip packages to some of the most popular destinations.
Our first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was remarkable. Perhaps the Dreams spoiled us.
One quick note … We have only used BookVIP one time, at one high-end resort in Cancun. Reasoning tells me that not every resort getaway package is going to offer a comparable experience. It actually is all going to boil down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
Looking into the residential or commercial properties offered on BookVIP can be a bit of a challenge. They don’t market the actual name of the resorts. Rather, they use fake names. However if you really want to sleuth out the location you will be remaining a bit of investigative deal with Google to match up the images will reveal the true identity of the property you are considering. We didn’t trouble going that far. There was plenty of details on the BookVIP website to help us feel comfy with making our booking.
What we enjoy about reserving with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. When you have actually done your research study and you are prepared, book. You will understand what you are getting. You know ahead of time if the dates you wish to take a trip are offered. There is time to compare the facilities and dining establishments. This is a huge contrast to the promotional getaway package sales calls I will talk about in the next section.
Simply be prepared for a couple of extra resort fees and taxes when you are all set to make your appointment with BookVIP. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after everything was stated and done. In our case, part of the surcharge was to cover tips for the resort staff. After the experience we had, we found this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Why Is Bookvip So Cheap
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. We very likely would not have actually gotten involved in another marketing deal if this had been our first experience. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our first advertising resort stay, we began getting call providing getaway plans to different locations. That is how we ended up with a trip package including our newest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple short stays in Florida and elsewhere.
These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure situation unless you just hang up. Say no sufficient times and they will keep dropping the rate to where it really seems like a good deal. It is needed that you do so before the end of the phone call if they record your interest and you decide to acquire. There isn’t much time to look into the getaway residential or commercial properties they are using. You may have a few seconds to quickly pull up some pictures however that is about it. A photo deserves a thousand words, but not worth almost as much as having the ability to read a couple of reviews.
They drew us in with a stay in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the proximity to Belize) and a long time in Florida (hello, sailboat shopping!). So we pulled the trigger and bought a package. Utilizing it, that is an entire different story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it easy to really utilize the trip time. There is a great deal of fine print that makes travel planning extremely hard and potentially a lot more pricey. They do not expose these information during the sales call.
IF YOU PURCHASE A VACATION PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS, THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only reserve your dates 45-90 days ahead of time. Okay, fair enough.
When you call to ask for your favored dates, they require you to fill out a long form requiring all the info that they already have. You then need to wait about a week to see if your dates are even available. Unless your itinerary will just consist of your stay at their resort, this makes preparing the rest of your travel really inconvenient.
Planning affordable flights, or offered Airbnb remains in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday bundle is very challenging. In our case, the Airbnb we wanted to remain at after our stay at the resort was booked by the time Premier Travel Resorts returned to us.
Our bundle consisted of a stay in Orlando and a stay in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts needs that those stays be back to back or 1 month apart. So, in our case, using them on either end of a company trip we had prepared was not enabled.
We used the Cancun part of our getaway bundle, however we won’t be using the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
You see, they put us up, not in one of the high-end residential or commercial properties that they wanted to sell us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the guys at the great home informed us they called it.
Now, to be reasonable, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one restaurant that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you ignore the ac system leaking into our food) was actually a great experience. They altered the menu every night, including foods from different parts of Mexico. And the personnel was remarkable. Really friendly and accommodating. And really ready to assist us with our Spanish.
As soon as over the shock of the distinction in the kind of place we thought we would be staying, we made the many of it. And selected up our rental cars and truck a couple days early to go off and explore the area.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts require that you attend a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their reduced costs. No biggie. We seem like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, nevertheless, requires that you participate in an advertising presentation during each stay. This is different from what we were told when they sold us the bundle.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
