Spend less, take a trip more … right?! If you like to make your vacation travel dollar stretch, then like us, you may find yourself thinking about a vacation package advertising offer. Know that these promotional trip package companies are not at all equivalent.
After the pulled down of our current stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I just left the phone from trying to schedule the rest of our getaway bundle with them (a long time in Florida). Let’s simply state that will not be happening. We are simply going to forget and consume the cost about it.
From here on out, we will be booking getaway packages through BookVIP. Here’s why …
Surely, you’ve seen the Facebook sponsored posts. If you click over to their website, you will see that it has plenty of the least expensive holiday plans to a few of the most popular locations. They have some seriously luxurious looking stays all over the world at some crazy excellent costs.
Our very first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was incredible. Possibly the Dreams ruined us.
One fast note … We have only used BookVIP one time, at one luxury resort in Cancun. Logic informs me that not every resort vacation plan is going to provide a similar experience. It actually is all going to come down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
Investigating the homes offered on BookVIP can be a bit of a difficulty. They don’t promote the real name of the resorts. Instead, they utilize phony names. But if you truly wish to sleuth out the place you will be remaining a little investigative work on Google to match up the photos will reveal the true identity of the residential or commercial property you are considering. We didn’t bother going that far. There was plenty of info on the BookVIP site to help us feel comfy with making our appointment.
You know ahead of time if the dates you desire to travel are readily available. There is time to compare the restaurants and features. This is a big contrast to the promotional getaway plan sales calls I will talk about in the next area.
Just be prepared for a few additional resort charges and taxes when you are prepared to make your reservation with BookVIP. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after everything was stated and done. In our case, part of the added fee was to cover pointers for the resort personnel. After the experience we had, we found this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Bookvip Vacation Scam Or Legit
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the best. If this had been our very first experience, we highly likely would not have actually taken part in another promotional deal. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our first marketing resort stay, we began getting phone calls offering holiday bundles to different destinations. That is how we wound up with a holiday bundle including our most recent Cancun all inclusive plus a couple brief stays in Florida and elsewhere.
These travel sales calls are constantly a high-pressure circumstance unless you just hang up. Say no adequate times and they will keep dropping the price to where it actually seems like a bargain. It is required that you do so prior to the end of the phone call if they capture your interest and you choose to acquire. There isn’t much time to investigate the trip homes they are providing. You may have a couple of seconds to rapidly pull up some photos but that has to do with it. A photo deserves a thousand words, but unworthy almost as much as being able to check out a few evaluations.
They drew us in with a remain in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the distance to Belize) and some time in Florida (hello, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and purchased a plan. Using it, that is a whole various story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it simple to actually utilize the getaway time. There is a great deal of fine print that makes travel preparation really difficult and potentially a lot more expensive. They don’t expose these information throughout the sales call.
THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only just book dates 45-90 days ahead of time if YOU BUY A TRIP PLAN WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS. Okay, fair enough.
When you call to ask for your preferred dates, they need you to fill out a long kind requiring all the info that they currently have. You then need to wait about a week to see if your dates are even offered. Unless your itinerary will only include your remain at their resort, this makes preparing the rest of your travel very troublesome.
Planning budget-friendly flights, or available Airbnb remains in conjunction with your Premier Travel Resorts vacation package is very tough. In our case, the Airbnb we wished to remain at after our stay at the resort was scheduled by the time Premier Travel Resorts returned to us.
Our bundle consisted of a stay in Orlando and a remain in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts needs that those stays be back to back or thirty days apart. So, in our case, using them on either end of a business journey we had actually prepared was not permitted.
We utilized the Cancun part of our vacation bundle, but we will not be using the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
The room was dirty, the toilet was broken, the lights flickered, and that is just the start. You see, they put us up, not in one of the luxury residential or commercial properties that they wished to offer us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the people at the good property informed us they called it. For real.
Now, to be fair, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one dining establishment that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you ignore the ac system leaking into our food) was in fact a nice experience. They altered the menu every night, including foods from different parts of Mexico. And the staff was incredible. Really friendly and accommodating. And extremely going to assist us with our Spanish.
When over the shock of the distinction in the kind of location we believed we would be remaining, we made the most of it. And chose up our rental vehicle a couple days early to go off and check out the area.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts require that you participate in a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their reduced rates. No biggie. We seem like that deserves it.
Premier Travel Resorts, however, needs that you participate in an advertising discussion during each stay. This is different from what we were told when they sold us the package. A two-hour sales pitch when you are staying somewhere for only two nights is a big portion of time. They sold us 4 different stays, that implies as much as 8 hours of moderately high-pressure sales! No thanks.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
