Invest less, travel more … right?! If you like to make your vacation travel dollar stretch, then like us, you might find yourself thinking about a holiday plan promotional offer. Know that these promotional getaway bundle business are not at all equal.

After the let down of our current stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I just got off the phone from attempting to schedule the rest of our holiday plan with them (some time in Florida). Let’s simply state that will not be happening. We are just going to eat the cost and forget about it.

From here on out, we will be booking holiday bundles through BookVIP. If you click over to their site, you will see that it is full of the most affordable holiday packages to some of the most popular locations.

Our first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was amazing. Perhaps the Dreams ruined us.

One quick note … We have only used BookVIP one time, at one luxury resort in Cancun. Reasoning tells me that not every resort vacation package is going to supply a comparable experience. It truly is all going to boil down to the research you put in.

Investigating the homes provided on BookVIP can be a little an obstacle. They do not promote the real name of the resorts. Rather, they use fake names. If you really want to sleuth out the location you will be staying a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the pictures will reveal the real identity of the property you are thinking about. We didn’t bother going that far. There was plenty of details on the BookVIP site to help us feel comfy with making our booking.

You know ahead of time if the dates you desire to take a trip are offered. There is time to compare the facilities and restaurants. This is a big contrast to the advertising getaway package sales calls I will talk about in the next area.

Just be prepared for a few extra resort costs and taxes when you are prepared to make your reservation with BookVIP. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after whatever was said and done. In our case, part of the added fee was to cover ideas for the resort staff. After the experience we had, we discovered this to be well worth it.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Bookvip Similar Websites
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. If this had actually been our very first experience, we most likely would not have actually taken part in another marketing offer. It was that bad.

Are you on the calling lists? After our first promotional resort stay, we started getting call providing holiday packages to different destinations. That is how we ended up with a holiday package including our latest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple short stays in Florida and somewhere else.

These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure situation unless you simply hang up. Say no enough times and they will keep dropping the rate to where it actually seems like a bargain. It is needed that you do so before the end of the phone call if they capture your interest and you decide to purchase. There isn’t much time to investigate the getaway homes they are offering. You may have a couple of seconds to rapidly pull up some images however that has to do with it. A picture is worth a thousand words, but not worth almost as much as having the ability to check out a couple of evaluations.

They drew us in with a stay in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the distance to Belize) and some time in Florida (hello, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and bought a package. Utilizing it, that is an entire different story.

Premier Travel Resorts does not make it simple to actually utilize the trip time. There is a great deal of fine print that makes travel preparation really challenging and possibly a lot more expensive. They do not expose these information throughout the sales call.

IF YOU ACQUIRE A HOLIDAY PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS, THIS IS WHAT YOU OUGHT TO BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only reserve your dates 45-90 days ahead of time. Okay, fair enough.

Nevertheless, when you contact us to request your favored dates, they need you to complete a long form needing all the information that they already have. You then need to wait about a week to see if your dates are even offered. Unless your travel plans will only include your remain at their resort, this makes preparing the rest of your travel really bothersome.

Planning cost effective flights, or readily available Airbnb stays in conjunction with your Premier Travel Resorts getaway package is really tough. In our case, the Airbnb we wished to stay at after our remain at the resort was booked by the time Premier Travel Resorts got back to us.

Our bundle consisted of a remain in Orlando and a stay in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts requires that those stays be back to back or 1 month apart. So, in our case, utilizing them on either end of a business trip we had actually prepared was not permitted.

We utilized the Cancun portion of our vacation bundle, but we won’t be utilizing the rest of it.

THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
The room was dirty, the toilet was cracked, the lights flickered, which is just the start. You see, they put us up, not in one of the high-end properties that they wanted to sell us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the men at the nice property informed us they called it. For real.

Now, to be fair, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one dining establishment that was included in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you ignore the a/c unit dripping into our food) was in fact a great experience. They changed up the menu every night, including foods from various parts of Mexico. And the staff was amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. And extremely happy to help us with our Spanish.

Twice the shock of the difference in the type of place we thought we would be staying, we made the most of it. We fulfilled some nice individuals. Consumed some great food. Took some great walks on the golf course. And picked up our rental automobile a couple days early to go off and explore the area.

THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts require that you participate in a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their affordable costs. No biggie. We seem like that is worth it.

Premier Travel Resorts, nevertheless, needs that you participate in a marketing discussion during each stay. This is different from what we were informed when they sold us the plan.

OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
